Exciting opportunity to work at a tech-centric proprietary trading fund that trades a wide range of financial products, with offices across the globe. We are looking for an experienced Front End Engineer to design and implement the next generation of browser-based tools for trading infrastructure.

You will build for highly engaged, expert users, maintaining a high UX standard while ensuring tools are flexible and powerful enough to meet user needs. In addition to developing individual tools, you will identify opportunities to create libraries and abstractions that capture common interaction patterns and improve development practices across the firm.

The successful candidate will be passionate about front-end engineering and UI design, with opportunities to work across the stack, including front-end, back-end, middleware, and databases.

Requirements:
  • Strong background in web technologies, including CSS, DOM, and familiarity with UI frameworks like Vue, Angular, React, or Flutter.
  • Experience building sophisticated, polished UIs in the browser, with a focus on usability and detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, capable of interacting effectively with colleagues of varying technical backgrounds.
Desirable:
  • Interest in typed functional programming approaches to UI development, with experience in Elm, ReasonML, Purescript, Typescript, or similar.
