We\’re looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to join us at our Oxford HQ, where world-class science and engineering come together under one roof. This is a key role in creating and maintaining the environment that enables our teams to push the boundaries of quantum computing.

You\’ll take ownership of all aspects of our offices and laboratories, ensuring they remain safe, compliant, and optimized for a fast-growing deep tech organisation. Working closely with our operations, people, and engineering teams, you\’ll play a vital part in shaping a world-class workplace that supports innovation and scale as we continue to grow.

Responsibilities

You\’ll oversee the day-to-day running of our Oxford HQ offices and labs, managing maintenance schedules, contractors, and suppliers across building services, cleaning, and utilities. You\’ll also lead the planning and delivery of new facilities as we expand, taking full ownership of contractor relationships to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard.

  • Lead fit-outs of office and lab spaces as we grow, creating environments that enable teams to do their best work.
  • Partner with specialist suppliers, for example, air conditioning experts, to ensure our lab and compute spaces meet the standards needed for quantum research.
  • Coordinate office moves, desk layouts, and lab setups so teams have the right space and resources as the business scales.
  • Manage budgets, contracts, and supplier relationships to keep our facilities running smoothly, safely, and cost-effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in facilities management who thrives in a fast-paced, technical environment.
  • Experience leading office design and fit-out projects is essential, while exposure to mixed office and laboratory spaces would be an advantage.
  • A background in managing facilities for office, laboratory, or technical environments, ideally in high-tech or advanced engineering sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety, building compliance, and facilities best practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-moving environment.
  • Confidence in managing contractors, suppliers, and budgets to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
