Oxford ILS is a small and friendly language school in Oxford. This role will ensure the smooth running of the activity programme for small groups of junior and (occasionally) adult students. We are looking for Activities Leader to join our school from 6 July to 1 August 2026 (inclusive). The age of the junior students is 13-17. The supervision ratio is 1:12 (or fewer).
Key responsibilities:
- To run the Social Activity Programme for junior (and occasionally adult) students, including liaising with venues, service providers, travel companies, group leaders and other parties involved in the service provision.
- To meet and greet students sign-in and sign-out.
- To help coordinate transport for the students.
- To supervise students during activities, lunches, excursions, and at other times as may be required.
- To provide pastoral care to junior students, monitor behaviour, and take appropriate action.
- To assess risks and act appropriately during emergency situations.
- To be actively involved in the provision of ‘duty of care’, including: completing/checking risk assessments, monitoring student behaviour, encouraging integration in and out of the classroom as appropriate, book transport, ensure safety of under-aged student during the journey to/from an activity.
- To complete administrative tasks as may be required.
- To adhere to the School’s policies and regulations for junior students.
Salary and Benefits:
£743.86 / week (gross) ≈ $986 / €858
