The MSc International Business and Management programme develops advanced knowledge, analytical capability and professional skills for students pursuing careers in international business, management, strategy, marketing, entrepreneurship and related global organisational contexts.
The Module Leader and Lecturer will provide academic leadership and high-quality teaching across the MSc International Business and Management programme.
The postholder will lead and teach modules across the programme, contribute to curriculum enhancement, support student achievement and ensure that module delivery is engaging, inclusive, professionally relevant and aligned with University of Bradford expectations.
The postholder may contribute to teaching and leadership across the following modules: Strategic Management and Leadership; International Business Principles and Practice; Marketing Planning and Strategy Development; Global Business Economics; Multinational Enterprise in Emerging Economies; Contemporary Issues in Global Business; Intercultural Management; Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Enterprise; the Professional Excellence Accelerator (PEA); and Dissertation / Research Methods provision.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate module delivery across one or more MSc International Business and Management modules to ensure a consistent, high-quality learning and assessment experience.
- Develop, review and update module teaching materials, assessment guidance and learning resources in line with programme and awarding body requirements.
- Provide module leadership, including planning delivery, maintaining module documentation and supporting quality assurance and enhancement processes.
- Design and implement blended and technology-enhanced learning activities appropriate to postgraduate students.
- Ensure alignment between teaching, learning outcomes and assessment requirements.
- Organise and contribute to internal moderation, standardisation and module review activity.
- Teach lectures, seminars, workshops and tutorials using interactive, student-centred, research-informed and professionally focused approaches.
- Deliver high-quality teaching in areas such as strategic management, leadership, international business, marketing, global economics, emerging economies, intercultural management, entrepreneurship, innovation and contemporary global business issues, according to subject expertise and programme need.
- Contribute to the delivery of the Professional Excellence Accelerator (PEA), supporting postgraduate transition, academic writing, analytical capability, digital fluency, employability and dissertation readiness.
- Provide academic guidance and support to students, including dissertation or research project preparation and supervision where appropriate.
- Monitor and report on student progress, attendance and engagement, and contribute to interventions where concerns arise.
- Assess students through formative and summative assessment, providing timely, constructive and academically rigorous feedback.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all activity is compliant with institutional policies, GDPR and academic regulations.
- Engage in continuing professional development relevant to higher education, inclusive teaching and international business and management disciplines.
- Remain sensitive to the needs of students from diverse educational, professional and cultural backgrounds, including international students.
- Attend and contribute to programme meetings, boards, moderation, training and other academic activities as required.
- Programme and module-specific expectations
- Teach and support postgraduate learning across modules relating to strategic management, international business, marketing strategy, global economics, multinational enterprise, intercultural management, entrepreneurship and innovation.
- Use current international case studies, business data, policy developments and professionally relevant examples to connect theory with global organisational practice.
- Support students to develop advanced critical analysis, evidence-based decision-making, strategic thinking, cross-cultural communication and professional presentation skills.
- Contribute to dissertation and research methods provision, supporting research design, critical literature review, data collection and analysis, academic integrity and independent research project development, where appropriate.
- Support the shared PEA framework through activities relating to postgraduate transition, critical reading, data interpretation, responsible AI use, professional writing, collaboration, employability and portfolio development.

- Willingness to undergo a DBS check or overseas equivalent.
Qualifications
- Good Honours and Master’s degrees in International Business, Business and Management, Strategic Management, Marketing, Economics, Entrepreneurship or a cognate subject.
- For dissertation/research methods teaching or supervision, a relevant postgraduate qualification and appropriate academic or professional experience.
- Formal teaching qualification such as PGCert HE or Registered Practitioner of Advance HE.
- Ph D or substantial teaching, research or industry experience in a relevant field.
Experience and knowledge
- Experience of teaching in higher education, ideally at postgraduate level.
- Experience of teaching one or more areas relevant to international business and management, such as strategy, international business, marketing, economics, entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership or intercultural management.
- Experience of supporting students from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds, including international students.
- Experience of designing teaching materials, learning activities and assessments.
- Experience of using Moodle or another VLE to support teaching and student engagement.
- Experience of module leadership, curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
- Experience in a partner-delivery or collaborative provision setting.
- Experience of dissertation or research project supervision.
