Overview
Join Oxford International Junior Programmes as an Activity Leader and play a key role in delivering engaging, high-quality activities and cultural excursions at one of our residential language centres across the UK. This is an immersive, hands-on role that requires energy, enthusiasm, and full commitment to creating a memorable and safe experience for our international students. This is not just a job; it is a unique experience that requires full commitment. This is not your typical 9-5 job – it is a fully immersive experience that demands energy, flexibility, and the right attitude. Working in a residential setting means you will be part of a lively community, supporting students beyond regular office hours. From leading activities and excursions to assisting with arrivals, meals, and evening events, you will need enthusiasm, resilience, and a positive approach to every challenge. With the right mindset, you will help create an unforgettable and rewarding experience both for students and staff.
Please note: Applicants must be aged 18 or over, eligible to work in the UK, and willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS Disclosure Check and/or Overseas Police Check.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Activity Programme
- Planning and preparing activity sessions in advance.
- Bringing creativity and fresh ideas to sessions and events.
- Leading activities with enthusiasm and confidence.
- Actively engaging with students and ensuring their enjoyment.
- Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and professionalism.
The Excursion Programme
- Researching destinations and preparing for each visit.
- Attending pre-excursion briefings and noting key details.
- Guiding and engaging students during excursions.
- Sharing interesting and educational insights about destinations.
- Prioritising student safety and adapting plans when necessary.
General Duties
- Welcoming students at the airport and ensuring smooth transfers.
- Supervising students during meals, free time, and activities.
- Acting as a positive role model, providing encouragement and support.
- Maintaining student welfare, discipline, and safety.
- Attending inductions, staff meetings, and briefings.
- Maintaining visibility and a positive presence around campus.
