Oxford Instruments Andor is seeking a
Sales Support Placement Student to join our Sales Operations team in Belfast for a 12-month placement.
Working closely with our Head of Commercial and wider commercial teams, you'll play an important role in supporting our global demonstration equipment programme while gaining exposure to inventory management, logistics, operations, reporting, and process improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and motivated student who enjoys problem-solving, working with data, and collaborating with colleagues across multiple business functions.

What You Will Be Doing
As a Sales Support Placement Student, you will
- Support the management of our global demonstration equipment inventory.
- Maintain accurate stock records and tracking information.
- Assist with stock audits, reconciliations, and cycle counts.
- Coordinate the shipment, movement, and return of demonstration equipment.
- Support equipment allocation activities across global sales teams.
- Assist with packing and preparing equipment for shipment.
- Monitor overdue equipment returns and follow up as required.
- Maintain stockroom organisation and housekeeping standards.
- Support approval and sign-off processes for demonstration equipment.
- Work closely with Sales, Logistics, Finance, and Technical Support teams.
- Prepare reports and analyse inventory utilisation data.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
- Who We're Looking For
We are looking for students who are
- Currently studying towards a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
- On track to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree classification.
- Previous placement, part-time work or project experience in logistics, stock control, operations, customer service or administration.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with data and documentation.
- Strong communicators who enjoy collaborating with others.
- Proactive, analytical, and eager to learn.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Available to commence a 12-month placement in September 2026.
It would be beneficial if you have
- Experience using ERP, inventory management, or business systems.
- Experience using Excel for data analysis, including formulas, pivot tables, or reporting tools
