As we continue to grow and transform, we are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to manage our end-to-end supply chain function and play a key role in supporting the next phase of our business growth.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced supply chain professional to shape and develop a high-performing function during a significant period of transformation. With the implementation of a new ERP system and the continued evolution of our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, you will lead teams across Purchasing, Stores and Material Control, driving improvements in supplier performance, inventory management, operational effectiveness and customer service.

Reporting into the Head of Supply Chain, you will work closely with stakeholders across Andor and the wider Oxford Instruments Group to develop capability, strengthen processes and deliver a resilient and scalable supply chain function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Lead, coach and develop the Supply Chain team across Purchasing, Stores and Material Control.
    • Build organisational capability through succession planning, skills development and clear accountability.
    • Drive employee engagement, continuous improvement and operational excellence across the function.
    • Develop and execute the supply chain strategy to support business growth, customer service and working capital objectives.
    • Represent Andor within the wider Oxford Instruments supply chain network, aligning local priorities with group strategy and best practice.
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators across quality, cost, delivery, inventory, service and people performance.
    • Lead all purchasing activities to ensure materials and services meet quality, cost and delivery requirements.
    • Collaborate with Group Strategic Sourcing to support supplier development, cost reduction, risk mitigation and long-term supply continuity.
    • Manage key supplier relationships, performance reviews, commercial discussions and Long-Term Agreements (LTAs).
    • Lead Stores operations, ensuring safe, accurate and efficient receipt, storage, handling and issue of materials.
    • Drive high levels of inventory accuracy through robust controls, cycle counting, stock takes, transaction discipline and process compliance.
    • Optimise inventory levels to balance customer service, working capital and obsolescence risk.
  • Material Control & Planning
    • Ensure material availability through effective MRP planning, supplier scheduling and planning parameter management.
    • Develop planning processes and controls that improve material flow, reduce shortages and support lean manufacturing principles.
    • Coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) material readiness with Engineering, Operations and Strategic Sourcing teams.
What Success Looks Like

Performance will be measured through a balanced SQDCP framework, including: Service & Execution, People Capability & Safety.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Science or a related discipline, or equivalent qualification and experience.
  • Professional Supply Chain qualification such as CIPS or equivalent.
  • Proven experience leading a supply chain function within a fast-paced manufacturing, engineering or technical environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing and developing multidisciplinary teams within a Supply Chain Environment.
  • Strong experience in supplier management, inventory control and material flow optimisation.
  • Experience implementing and/or operating ERP systems and automated planning tools.
  • Proven track record delivering supplier development, cost reduction and working capital improvement programmes.

This permanent position is based at our Belfast headquarters full time onsite.
