The FPGA Engineering Placement Student will work in the Embedded Systems Department for 12 months. You will gain experience in FPGA development (from concept through to manufacture) and have the opportunity to be involved in new product developments and learn about our customer applications. You will be supported by other FPGA Engineers. This is a 12-month fixed term contract starting in September 2026 and will be based fulltime onsite at OI Andor, Springvale Business Park, Belfast.
We are looking for enthusiastic electronic and computer engineering students who:
- Will have successfully completed the 2nd year of a BEng honours degree (or equivalent) or Masters in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering by June 2026.
- Have an understanding of basic concepts of electronic design - analogue and digital.
- Have experience working on an electronic design.
- Are available to start placement in September 2026.
- Are hungry to learn and innovate.
- Are excellent team players and communicators.
- Are eager to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges.
