Working as part of the Customer and Sustaining Engineering Team, you will be responsible for the technical aspects and associated engineering activities for customer orders, and contribute to the development of new platforms on which the custom orders are based You will manage the specifications for each project, run design reviews, and coordinate the activities of other engineers and sub-contractors through the task management system. Maintaining the risk register, technical file and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards are also required. You can also expect to get involved with improvement projects, such as new component design and updating existing components.
Your love of all things technical and on-point organisational skills would come in to their own in this Systems Engineer role. We are looking for an individual to take technical ownership across a mix of complex custom order fulfilment projects, new product / platform integrations, and a range of improvement activities whilst coordinating the detailed technical activities of a cross-functional team.., To be successful in this role you will have previous experience of superconducting magnet and / or cryogenic systems and product design and development, ideally related to the design of systemised products, as well as coordinating the technical work completed by other engineers. Experience of analysing and fault finding on complex systems is desired, together with knowledge of modular design and system configuration. Effective communication and organisational skills are essential for this position.
