Responsibilities

  • Helping to maintain the SHE Management system and in particular SHE Hub on SharePoint, SHIELD, SYPOL.
  • Prioritising, Coordinating and Helping with activities for:
    • SHIELD – Driver\’s risk, DSE and action tracking.
    • SYPOL – CoSHH Preventive Maintenance and Compliance.
  • Maintaining the Visitor Management system.
  • Aid with the new employee induction process.
  • Aiding with the introduction of 45003 (wellness strategy etc.).
  • Maintain the company drivers risk assessment and display screen equipment assessments in Shield.
  • Maintaining a weekly housekeeping PSOT throughout the factory and offices.
  • Maintaining the organisation section of Shield.
  • Assisting with the on-site Emergency preparedness across the business.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Personal Protective Equipment process across the business.
  • Aiding with the internal audit process across the business.
  • Aid with the external audit process.
  • Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably required by the Company.
  • Take personal responsibility for your health and safety and for that of others who may be affected by your actions and behaviour. Comply with the Company\’s arrangements for health, safety and environmental protection.

Qualifications / Education

  • Educated to GCSC standard.
  • The role will suit an individual who is a school leaver or someone who would like to change career.

Professional Skills / Abilities

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Be able to work on and improve SHE databases.
  • Have good organisational and influencing skills.
  • Be able to carry out research.
  • Be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and to react accordingly, able to build excellent working relationships with all customers at all levels within the business.
  • Be open to learning on the job and willing to question conventional practices.
  • Be able to act in a professional manner, no matter what the circumstances.
  • Be willing to learn new skills and to receive training for the role.
  • Be self-motivated.
  • Respect for confidentiality.
