This job is active and accepting applications.

We recognise that the success of our business comes down to our employees, from the innovation of our cutting-edge technology, through to the carefully crafted engineering of our instruments. None of this would matter if we didn’t have a dedicated team of people meticulously preparing our products for export.

The opportunity

In this busy role, you can expect to learn how we manage the packing of our instruments, spare parts, and consumables, which are exported across the globe. You will also help to manage stock levels of packing materials, ensure that our customers and engineers have the parts they require, and support the stores function when necessary.

We will provide all the necessary training for this opportunity, including forklift truck operating and IATA (International Air Transport Association). All we ask for in return is the willingness to learn.

About You

To be successful, you will have previous experience working in a packing department responsible for packing highly engineered, large goods. It would be useful if you were trained to handle dangerous goods, could read engineering drawings, or possess a valid FLT license, but we will provide training in all these areas. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision and be flexible to meet the needs of the business.

In addition to a competitive starting salary, Oxford Instruments offers flexible working hours, a half-day on Fridays, 25 days of annual leave, private healthcare, a defined contribution Group Personal Pension Plan, and a flexible benefits package tailored to your requirements. We invest in our employees\’ ongoing career development to help them reach their full potential. We care and work hard to provide a workplace where you can grow and learn.
