We are excited to announce a permanent Senior Project Manager role based in Severn Beach, Bristol. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development of innovative products, overseeing every stage from planning through successful launch to initial deliveries. Your ability to ensure a seamless, cross‑functional process is key, with the flexibility to collaborate remotely and across different business units. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage project deliverables in accordance with the stage‑gate development process.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to monitor and report on progress, costs, risks, and issues at the business level.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure that the overall project schedule, quality, feature set, and costs align with business requirements.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Service, and Operations to guarantee a smooth release and successful transition to routine shipping.
  • Provide advice on and, when appropriate, lead initiatives for continuous process improvement, as well as the development and introduction of new processes and tools.

  • Drive to deliver whilst bringing others with them and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Manage own work effectively, proactively remove roadblocks for self and others, ensuring the team delivers to agreed deadlines.
  • Lead project meetings, effectively manage tasking and clearly understand status across the project, highlighting any risks and issues, and steps to communicate them.
  • Ensure the project maintains good task estimation and effective schedule tracking, looking for opportunities to improve the schedule.
  • Manage the project's risk profile through active mitigation plans and effective management of the schedule contingency.
  • Ensure that the project team clearly understands the project requirements and actively manages to those requirements.
  • Build strong relationships and maintain them even through challenging times and when the client base is remote.
  • Can work in a matrixed and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Effectively manage all stakeholders and be comfortable working at a senior level – and will push back when required and also be realistic in terms of issues and delivery dates.
  • Proactively manage both project and product costs.
  • Flexible approach – can deploy skills in a different business unit and, in some instances, remotely.

Education / Qualifications

  • Degree
  • Training in Project Management

Professional Skills / Abilities

  • A proven track record in delivering product development projects in a high‑tech environment.
  • Able to work flexibly – across product line, business units and locations – sometimes having to deliver projects remotely.
  • Experience with project management tools, issue tracking systems, and status reporting.
  • Broad business knowledge including an understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, quality and service and how these should be considered as part of the planning and delivery phases of a project.
  • Sound understanding of a stage‑gate project oversight process.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing complex projects with multi‑functional teams.
  • Works remotely effectively – can deliver a project when not in the same location.
