We're now looking for an Event Venue Technician to join our team at The Catalyst in Newcastle, where you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality events and providing technical support in a vibrant, innovative environment. The Catalyst is a flagship innovation centre that brings together businesses, academia and the wider community. It's a fast-paced, collaborative space where no two days are the same, and where great events and seamless technology really make a difference.
As a key member of the centre team, you'll take the lead on AV and technical support for events, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish:
- Deliver end-to-end AV and technical support for a range of events, including hybrid and high-profile events
- Set up, test and operate AV equipment, including pre-event checks and practice sessions
- Provide live troubleshooting and on-the-day support during events
- Support event delivery, including room setups, logistics and front-of-house coordination
- Maintain and proactively check AV systems to ensure reliability
Strong experience working with AV systems, including conferencing and streaming platforms is required, along with experience supporting events and delivering a high level of service to a range of stakeholders.
