We're now looking for an Event Venue Technician to join our team at The Catalyst in Newcastle, where you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality events and providing technical support in a vibrant, innovative environment.

The Catalyst is a flagship innovation centre that brings together businesses, academia and the wider community. It's a fast-paced, collaborative space where no two days are the same, and where great events and seamless technology really make a difference.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver end-to-end AV and technical support for a range of events, including hybrid and high-profile events.
  • Work closely with customers and speakers to plan requirements and ensure smooth delivery.
  • Set up, test and operate AV equipment, including pre-event checks and practice sessions.
  • Provide live troubleshooting and on-the-day support during events.
  • Support event delivery, including room setups, logistics and front-of-house coordination.
  • Maintain and proactively check AV systems to ensure reliability.
  • Work with internal teams and partners to deliver a seamless customer experience.
