If you offer experience of working in a childcare setting along with skills as a receptionist, this is an opportunity to play a key role as part of Oxford High Schools after school care provision. We are looking for someone to provide library area supervision, reception cover and oversee the signing in and out of students of after school care and ensure they leave with an appropriate adult/their parent where necessary.

Your additional responsibilities will include:

  • Answering the telephone, greeting visitors and parents, responding to emails and some admin tasks
  • Assisting in maintaining the reception area to an agreed standard of tidiness and cleanliness
  • Assisting in the maintenance of appropriate records of pupil attendance
  • Ensuring all students leave the library by 6pm

Your hours of work will be between 15:45 - 18:15 Monday to Friday during term time only. These may vary slightly on different days. A degree of flexibility with your working arrangements is required from time to time to assist us in meeting the needs of the busy school calendar. Safeguarding and first aid training will be provided.

You will need the ability to use language and communication skills to relate to children and young people, establish positive relationships, and empathise with their needs. Knowledge of child protection issues and an understanding of health & safety requirements are equally important.
