We are seeking a reliable, organised, and proactive Minibus Driver & Transport Coordinator to oversee the smooth operation of the school's transport services while driving a scheduled morning minibus route. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong coordination skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage day-to-day transport logistics in a busy school environment.
- Transport Coordination
- Drive the school minibus on a scheduled morning route.
- Coordinate daily transport services, routes, and schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of vetted drivers and transport documentation.
- Liaise with drivers, parents, and external transport providers regarding services and queries.
- Arrange cover for driver absences to ensure continuity of service.
- Coordinate coach transport requirements for school trips and events.
- Manage unexpected transport issues and implement contingency arrangements when required.
- Health & Safety
- Carry out routine vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
- Ensure minibuses are clean, safe, fuelled, and well maintained.
- Monitor vehicle equipment and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Support breakdown procedures and alternative transport arrangements where necessary.
- Maintain compliance with all driver safety and medical requirements.
- Administration & Compliance
- Complete and monitor journey check sheets, mileage logs, and driver records.
- Ensure all drivers maintain accurate records and follow procedures.
- Complete MIDAS minibus driver training and refresher training every two years.

- Be confident dealing with operational issues calmly and efficiently.
