We are seeking to appoint a highly organised and efficient Attendance & Cover Administrator to support the effective operation of the school. Reporting to the Business Support Manager, the successful candidate will take a lead role in the administration of student attendance and registration, ensuring accuracy of records and timely reporting. In addition, they will be responsible for coordinating staff cover arrangements, managing both planned and unplanned absences to ensure continuity of teaching and learning. The role also encompasses a broad range of administrative duties, including the preparation and distribution of documentation, support for school events, and providing a professional and welcoming reception service to students, parents, staff, and visitors.
Key responsibilities
- Administering attendance and registration systems, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date
- Producing regular attendance reports for senior staff
- Coordinating daily and forward-planned staff cover, including liaising with supply staff
- Supporting teaching staff with the preparation of materials and documentation
- Providing general administrative support, including data entry and document management
- Assisting with reception duties and school events as required
- Supporting the maintenance and effective use of office equipment and resources
