Teaching Assistant Position in Banbury

Contract term: Fixed Term \Hours:Full Time or Part Time, Term Time Only \We are seeking to appoint two compassionate, organised and proactive Teaching Assistants to provide dedicated support for a student with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). \The student has a diagnosis of autism, ADHD, DCD and hyperacusis and presents with a disordered profile of social communication and language strengths and needs. \This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to a students educational experience, wellbeing and independence within a supportive school environment. \The successful candidates will provide tailored support throughout the school day, including during lessons, transitions, break and lunch times, clubs, school trips and extracurricular activities. \Working closely with teaching staff, parents and external professionals, you will help ensure the student can fully access the curriculum, develop independence and feel secure, included and supported in all aspects of school life. \Speech and Language Therapists \n Autism Advisory Teachers \n Provide consistent emotional, social and academic support throughout the school day \n Support communication, organisation, planning and engagement with learning \n Promote independence and inclusion at all times \n Provide supervision and support during unstructured times, including break and lunch \n Assist with clubs, PE provision, physiotherapy programmes and school trips \n Lead and coordinate aspects of the EHCP review process, including liaison with the Local Authority \n Work collaboratively with school staff, parents and external professionals \n Organise staff training and contribute to risk assessments where appropriate \n A patient, empathetic and flexible approach \n The ability to remain calm, observant and responsive in a busy school environment \n A genuine commitment to inclusion, wellbeing and student-centred support \Experience supporting students with autism, ADHD, sensory needs or social communication differences would be highly desirable. \This role may occasionally involve attendance on school trips, including possible evening or overnight stays. \About Oxford High School: \Since its foundation over 140 years ago in the heart of Oxford's historic city centre, Oxford High School has been innovative and pioneering in its approach to girls' education. \Today, Oxford High School is a happy and vibrant place to work: our girls are highly motivated and ambitious, supportive yet self-aware.
