The Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) Mental Health Support Team is seeking a part-time administrator to enhance our existing administration support.

We are a friendly and welcoming team made up of a Clinical Lead Psychologist, Clinical Team Manager, Deputy Team Manager, Supervisors, Education Mental Health Practitioners, and an administrator. Our clinical team currently delivers interventions in 46% of schools across B&NES. As the service continues to grow, additional administrative support is needed to assist clinicians with the demands of their roles.

Working alongside the current team administrator, you will be responsible for processing referrals and ensuring they are recorded and allocated on the electronic health record system (Rio). You will have regular contact with parents, carers, and young people to coordinate appointments.

You will also be expected to prepare materials required for interventions and maintain an organised office environment to support the clinical team. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential.

Main duties of the job

  • Contact young people or parents/carers to arrange appointments and ensure required outcome measures are completed in advance where possible.
  • Process new referrals and accurately input patient information and treatment details into spreadsheets.
  • Maintain and update the status of referrals using the electronic health record system (Rio).
  • Answer telephone calls, take clear messages, and ensure they are passed on to the appropriate clinician.
  • Support clinicians by printing and preparing intervention materials, and assist with pulling data from reporting systems when needed.
