The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

As a band 7 clinician you will provide high quality specialist dietetic care to children and young people with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, Binge Eating and Atypical Eating Disorders using effective assessments and evidence-based treatments.

You will work as an autonomous practitioner, delivering evidence based dietetic interventions for eating disorders and providing robust assessment and management plans, taking appropriate therapeutic risk. You will be ambitious and have a positive attitude and outstanding clinical skills, along with excellent interpersonal skills which will enable you to thrive within a multi-disciplinary team context and in working with this complex patient group and their families.

You will be offered in house training in a number of evidence-based interventions. There will also be the opportunity for further training based on individual learning needs. We have good professional support in our service and regular professional regional meetings, including regular team safeguarding supervision.

The service is based in Aylesbury / High Wycombe and works with children and young people aged from 12 up to 18 years old who experience eating disorders. The service works with a hybrid working approach meaning the post holder will work between Aylesbury and High Wycombe bases with some flexibility for home working.

We are a friendly and welcoming team looking for a keen and enthusiastic practitioner who puts children and young people at the centre of what they do. We promote a culture of support and supervision and have good links with the other teams across Buckinghamshire and ensure that there is regular opportunity for networking with our pathways.

This role will require you to travel between community locations, you must therefore be comfortable with driving for work purposes and able to travel freely within the hours of the role. Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.

Person Specification

Knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge of eating disorder conditions

  • Knowledge and understanding of evidence-based practice and the ability to demonstrate how this influences clinical practice

Desirable

  • To have knowledge and understanding of the research process, * Recognised Nutrition & Dietetic Degree or equivalent.

  • Educated to master’s level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.

Desirable

  • Evidence of completion of informal / formal leadership training

Experience

  • Experience of working with eating disorders

  • Experience of supervising qualified staff

  • Evidence of research and project work.
