Are you keen to step into a leadership role and support a team to develop in an in-patients setting? We are looking for a physiotherapist to support patients on the adult wards at the Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury, and to assist the Professional Lead Physiotherapist with service development. You will work with a diverse, supportive multidisciplinary team, receiving support from the Professional Lead Physiotherapist for Mental Health, and will be responsible for supporting physiotherapy assistants and students. Your role involves providing physiotherapy input to the four adult wards at the Whiteleaf Centre, assessing and treating patients with complex long-term neurological conditions, MSK conditions, and mobility difficulties. You will support physical activity on the wards alongside the Physical Fitness Practitioner and Physiotherapy Technical Instructors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide physiotherapy assessment, intervention, and advice to patients on the adult mental health wards at the Whiteleaf Centre.
  • Manage and prioritize your own caseload.
  • Support the multidisciplinary team in providing holistic care, including formal and informal teaching and guidance.
  • Lead and support audits and quality improvement projects.
  • Provide clinical supervision and education to junior staff and students.
  • Ensure the safe and appropriate use of mobility and gym equipment.
  • Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of local protocols and guidelines.
