We are looking for an entry level Events Assistant to join our Event Operations team and support in the planning of a number of established/large-scale live events held in the UK, USA and Europe. This is a 6 month fixed term contract role (starting in June 2026), providing you with the opportunity to kickstart your career in Events and gain valuable, hands on, experience in key areas such as ordering & organising event materials, booking travel/accommodation, researching event suppliers, materials & networking activities, and on-site event coordination.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Event Ops Team with all aspects of event co-ordination for conferences and exhibitions
  • Printing on-site materials including badges
  • Ordering of event materials
  • Packing and organising event materials
  • Researching and booking staff and speaker travel/accommodation
  • Carrying out event sponsor administrative tasks
  • Carrying out research for areas including event venues, suppliers, materials, & networking activities
  • On-site event coordination of live/large-scale events, including helping with the coordination of 1-2-1 meetings
  • Administrative support and coordination for virtual events

We are looking for someone with:

  • Entry level – up to 1 year of event operations skills/experience, or Event Management (or relevant) Degree
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Adaptable and resilient
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable travelling for work as needed (national & international travel required)

More about the role:

  • Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 per annum (pro-rata approx. £12.5k-£13k for 6 month FTC)
  • Location: All our roles are hybrid (a mix of remote and in office). Our offices are located on the Botley Road in Oxford, with shops/restaurants within walking distance and easy access into Oxford City Centre.
  • Job Type: Full time (37.5 hours a week). 6 month FTC (starting June 2026)
