We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join a growing and innovative Specialty Diagnostics environment, supporting business transformation and change control initiatives. This role sits within a high-impact setting focused on delivering diagnostic solutions, where strong leadership and strategic direction are essential to achieving organisational goals and driving continuous improvement across functions.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex, cross-divisional projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in driving business transformation initiatives, overseeing project governance, and mentoring project teams. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, strong risk management capabilities, and a deep understanding of quality systems, particularly within in vitro diagnostics (IVD). You will also contribute to strategic planning and help shape best practices across the project management function.
Responsibilities- Manage complex, cross-divisional and group-level projects from initiation through completion.
- Develop project plans including tasks, deliverables, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Create, maintain, and ensure quality of project documentation and records.
- Facilitate validation deliverables such as product risk analyses and validation plans.
- Oversee project budgets, including resource planning and cost management in collaboration with finance.
- Identify, document, and communicate project risks, including mitigation and contingency plans.
- Track and report on project status, timelines, issues, action items, and budgets.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project-related communications and documentation.
- Lead project meetings and enable effective cross-functional collaboration and decision-making.
- Manage project scope in alignment with customer, team, and business needs.
- Promote a proactive and professional team culture.
- Contribute to organisational strategy and ensure effective execution across the product lifecycle.
- Lead the development of processes and tools supporting change management and business transformation initiatives.
- Conduct lessons learned sessions and implement continuous improvement actions.
- Support standardisation and harmonisation of project management best practices across programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 9 years of industry experience, including at least 5 years in progressive project management roles.
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Background in academic research or biotech industry, preferably with knowledge of reagent production and QA/regulatory standards.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory and manufacturing techniques, including FDA and GMP compliance (design controls preferred).
- Advanced understanding of regulatory and quality requirements for medical devices or diagnostics.
- Proficiency with MS Project or similar tools, as well as MS Office and related software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage project risks effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex priorities.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering projects from concept to market.
- Strong business acumen and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and project cost control.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
