The Role
We are looking for a creative individual to work as part of our landscaping teams. You must:
- have a full driving licence
- have a keen interest and experience in landscaping
- be hard working, self-motivated, ambitious and experienced in all aspects of landscaping
- enjoy manual and heavy work
- work outdoors under any weather conditions
- have a creative mind and pay attention to detail
- be able to work from a layout plan
- possess good organisational skills
- have the ability to problem solve
- be able to work individually and in a team
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment
- Prepare and undertake landscaping and construction work, including patio laying and decking
- Prepare and construct driveways, footways and other work of a similar nature
- Construction of as well as repair of walls, fences, ponds and fountains, etc.
- Install such facilities as garden sheds, cabins, garden furniture and play structures
- Create paths, steps, paved areas and prepare borders for planting etc.
- Create raised beds from timber sleepers
- Maintain and clean equipment
- Evaluate new equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate records and evaluate those of trainees
- Undertake routine maintenance using appropriate equipment
- Be conversant and skilled in the use of hand tools and pedestrian machines and appropriate powered hand tools which are generally used in landscaping
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
