About the Role
Oxford Economics, a leading economic forecasting and consulting firm, is hiring an Economist for its Macro Consulting team. The role is based in the Dubai office and focuses on designing, implementing and delivering economic consultancy modelling projects for the Middle East region.
The position requires relocation to Dubai within approximately three months of joining and involves regular travel within the Middle East region.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting a wide range of macro consultancy projects for clients in the Middle East region, with a focus on macro modelling using OE’s Global Economic Model.
- Regular travel within the Middle East region to meet clients and stakeholders.
- Presenting the firm’s view to clients through conferences, webinars and meetings.
- Handling client queries related to the Middle East region and general economic questions.
- Supporting sales and marketing by promoting Oxford’s view and products, which may involve extensive regional travel.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Strong academic background in Economics at the postgraduate level.
- Previous experience in applying macroeconomic models for forecasting and/or scenario analysis.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
- Ability to work effectively across teams in different offices and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
