Chiltern Hills Academy is in search of an experienced, supportive, and adaptable individual to fill the role of Cover Teacher. The successful applicant must have a genuine passion for education and be self-assured and driven to help our young students succeed.
Role Overview
This role is a 4-day a week – term time role. Potential for 5 days but to be discussed.
Key Responsibilities
- Cover Teachers play a crucial role in our school by maintaining educational consistency for our students when their regular teacher is absent, ensuring that assigned tasks are completed and understood, and promoting excellence in behaviour and learning.
The Right Candidate Should
- Be resilient and have good behaviour management skills within the classroom.
- Be organised and have knowledge of school routines.
- Understand the National Curriculum and have the ability to deliver it.
- Be able to hold good relationships with staff, students and parents.
- Be flexible across year groups and adapt to different situations where necessary.
- Have a strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
