Are you an experienced NMC-registered Nurse ready to take the next step in leadership? Are you currently working at senior/Band 6 level (or above) within the NHS and looking for an opportunity to shape and influence high-quality patient care in a forward-thinking diagnostic service? We are seeking a confident, compassionate and clinically credible Nursing Manager to support with leading our nursing team at Perspectum’s Oxford Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC). This is an exciting opportunity to step into a visible leadership role where your NHS experience, governance knowledge, and passion for patient-centred care will directly influence service quality and development.
Working closely with the Head of Nursing, you will play a pivotal role in delivering safe, effective and responsive care within a modern Community Diagnostic Centre environment.

As Nursing Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical and operational nursing activity at Oxford CDC, ensuring high standards of care aligned with CQC and NMC requirements.
Clinical Leadership & Team Development- Lead, inspire and support a team of Nurses and Healthcare Assistants
- Foster a positive, accountable and patient-focused culture
- Oversee staff performance, supervision, training and professional development
- Ensure full compliance with CQC standards and regulatory frameworks
- Lead clinical audits, risk management processes and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain safe, effective care delivery across all diagnostic modalities
- Work closely with senior management to ensure smooth service delivery
- Contribute to workforce planning, resource management and performance reporting
- Support service growth and continuous improvement
- Contribute to policy development and implementation of evidence-based practice
- Drive innovation and improvements in patient pathways and care standards
- Champion compassionate, clear and professional communication
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to optimise patient experience
- Mentor junior staff and support professional development
- Promote revalidation, statutory training compliance and lifelong learning
- Uphold and model NMC standards of practice
You will bring:
- Current NMC Registration
- Degree in Nursing Studies/equivalent
- Experience working at Senior/Band 6 level (or above) within a fast-paced clinical setting
- Demonstrable leadership and people management experience
- Strong understanding of clinical governance and CQC requirements
- Experience in education, supervision or mentoring
- Evidence-based clinical knowledge
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Commitment to professional development and service excellence
Hours: the working hours are 37.5 hours per week, day time shift pattern (7:30am – 7:30pm, rotational across 7 days a week).
