The predicted salary is between 16 - 22 £ per hour.

Hours: part-time variable

Hourly rate: £25.25 (unqualified) or £26.38 (qualified) inclusive of holiday pay. Plus, membership of Teachers' Pension Scheme. The base hourly rate is £16.29 (unqualified) / £17.02 (qualified) per hour, plus payment for holiday and preparation and marking time, which gives an approximate hourly rate of £25.25 (unqualified) / £26.38 (qualified) per hour.

About the role

Due to increased demand in the subject area, York College has an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and enthusiastic Tutor to join our team to teach across Travel & Tourism programmes at Level 2 and 3. The Hospitality & Tourism curriculum area currently offers NCFE Level 2 and Level 3 BTEC Foundation and Extended Diploma courses in Travel and Tourism and runs an exciting domestic tourism-based enrichment programme. The successful candidate would join an enthusiastic and highly effective team to deliver these courses and continue the success of the subject area.

About the Person

To undertake this role applicants should have a degree, HNC or professional qualification in a Travel, Tourism, Aviation or Business-related subject. Experience of working in the travel, tourism or aviation sector is essential and therefore the role would suit someone with industrial experience who is looking for a new opportunity to pass on their skills. Previous teaching or training experience would be preferred but not essential.

We are a large, regional college serving a population across York and North Yorkshire of more than one million people. Each year, we have approximately 4,000 school leavers, 1,000 apprentices, 2,000 adult students, and 400 higher-level students studying with us.
