Following the recent Local Government Reorganisation for Oxfordshire announcement, this is an exciting time to join the Law, Governance and Strategy Directorate as we work towards the formation of a new unitary authority for Greater Oxford. LGR brings a range of exciting opportunities within Oxfordshire, so now is the ideal time to join a growing, ambitious service at the heart of Oxford City Council.

We are looking for an experienced, proactive and confident lawyer who can demonstrate they have the ability to deliver at pace, whilst also ensuring the Council’s strategic aims and objectives are met. As a qualified lawyer, you will have in-depth knowledge and experience to undertake a range of work within the Litigation and Regulatory Team in respect of Planning Law, policy and enforcement.

You will be able to provide complex legal and procedural advice to elected members, agents and other internal and external stakeholders to support the Council in achieving its ambitions.
