A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Security Manager who will demonstrate and deliver high quality customer service to both our customers and service users. Manage and develop the Security team in all areas of Security and maintain close working relations. The Assistant Security Manager will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the contract security team, as well as implementation of site procedures at this impressive 36-storey landmark tower in the City of London which includes retail units and one of the largest health clubs in the square mile operated by Nuffield Health. There is also over an acre of external plaza and public realm areas.
Job Requirements:
- SIA Licence required
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a security lead, manager, or supervisor required
- Able to work in demanding sector and liaise with both tenants and customers
- Be able to manage new build project and implement site-based roles and procedures
- Good judgement and an even-handed approach
- The ability to establish a good rapport with people across the board
- The ability to motivate and attain the best results from the on-site team
- Good leadership and management skills

Job Responsibilities:
- To efficiently manage daily operational requirements in accordance with customer expectations and contractual obligations.
- To supervise all front-of-house, public realm, and building officers to meet customer expectations, ensuring a professional and welcoming service for stakeholders.
- Assist the Security Manager in developing and implementing security policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the security control room, proficiently utilising MyTAG, Avigilon KONE E:Link, Commend and Gallagher systems.
- Provide training and guidance to security staff on emergency procedures, protocols, and customer service.
- Maintain familiarity with all life safety systems, leading and responding to emergencies promptly.
- To organise site specific fire marshal training for the occupiers and landlord staff on a quarterly basis.
- Provide leadership and management in operations.
- Report daily to the Head of Security, ensuring effective communication on all matters related to delivering professional security services.
- Assist in risk assessments and threat analysis to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Regularly liaise with controllers, patrol officers, and front-of-house operatives.
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of security personnel, including shift scheduling and duty assignments.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and trained personnel for all shifts, adjusting team positioning as necessary.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all staff, addressing accidents and faults promptly.
- Act as Head of Security in their absence.
- Deliver appropriate training, internally and externally, as per contract agreements.
- Respond to incidents promptly, managing them according to procedures.
- Collaborate with service partners and customer representatives to manage security and fire prevention effectively.
- Attend monthly KPI meetings with property management.
- Produce the first draft Monthly Report with assistance from all departments.
- Possess experience with Timegate and CIS Business management systems.
- Participate in the senior management on-call roster as required.
- Set clear objectives for colleagues and monitor performance effectively.
