Responsibilities
- Technically responsible for Energy Management across the Council’s estate, sharing knowledge to support measures that will reduce energy consumption and carbon emission
- Day‑to‑day energy management of all utilities with a focus on cost, consumption and carbon emission
- Implementing energy management techniques to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Developing and delivering complex and high‑profile carbon reduction projects to support the delivery of the Council’s corporate Net Zero target
- Providing specialist expertise on all aspects of energy and water management including a focus on technical solutions
- Undertaking energy surveys, inspections and the development and delivery of action plans, plant surveys, preparation of design and specifications for tender documents relating to energy work
- Supporting the Utilities Coordinator to improve data granularity and quality
- Working collaboratively across the Council, with key stakeholders and partners across Oxford
