Rough sleeping and homelessness are big challenges for Oxford City Council. We are looking for someone with drive and passion to help us make a difference in this area. The Rough Sleeping and Single Homelessness Team carry out a commissioning function within the Council, with many services commissioned on a countywide basis.
The role will assist the team, working closely with internal and external providers and internal teams to ensure that service and approaches are in place to prevent and tackle rough sleeping. This includes assisting with procurement and commissioning, as well as monitoring of commissioned services.
Working in close partnership with internal and external stakeholders is key to this role, and we are looking for someone who is effective at forming productive working relationships across organisations.
You must be able to manage a complex workload, have a good understanding of the support individuals facing homelessness may require and be committed to help find and develop the very best solutions and services for some of the City’s most vulnerable people.
You need experience in bookkeeping and/or financial processes such as raising purchase orders and paying invoices, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work in a busy environment with many urgent and competing demands.
