Job Description:

Are you inspired by the stories of Oxford’s past? Could you share these stories with children and young people in an informative and creative way?

Oxford City Council’s Museum of Oxford reopened in October, and we are looking for Casual Museum Learning Facilitators to lead workshops for our growing schools programme.

Working within our learning team, you will be responsible for setting up, delivering, and clearing up for group workshops on site at the Museum of Oxford, and online in schools workshops that are delivered digitally.

As a Casual Museum Learning Facilitator, you will be the face of the Museum of Oxford for our schools audience. This role is vital to ensuring the museum operates to its full potential and that students and teachers leave having had an enjoyable experience. Workshop durations vary from 1 hour to 2.5 hours, with set-up and clear-up taking about 30 minutes each side of the booking. Workshop topics will vary by age group, and training will be provided by our Learning Officer.

This is a great opportunity for friendly, flexible, and committed individuals who aim to provide high-quality school workshops. Reliability, excellent time management, enthusiasm, and adaptability are essential. If this describes you, we would love to hear from you.
