We are seeking reliable staff to join our pool of invigilators for university examinations. This role is essential for ensuring smooth examination processes and supporting students to perform their best.

Ideal candidates will have experience as a Chief Invigilator in large exam rooms and/or as Reader/Scribe Invigilators.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Setting out examination papers and supporting materials in the exam room.
  2. Assisting students as they enter the examination room.
  3. Ensuring adherence to exam procedures and regulations by students.
  4. Collecting examination papers and materials at the end of the session.

There are four main examination sessions annually, with availability required for some dates in the May session. Most exams start at 10:00 am or 2:00 pm and last between one and three hours. You can choose which exam dates and times suit your schedule. Exams occur from Monday to Saturday.

Invigilators should arrive 1.5 hours before the exam and may finish up to one hour after it concludes. Payment is hourly for the total time worked.

All invigilators must attend a training session prior to their first exam.

This role does not qualify for a Skilled Worker visa under the points-based immigration system. However, applications from candidates without current UK work rights are encouraged if they can obtain a visa through other routes.
