As Academic Voice Coordinator you’ll play a pivotal role in empowering students to shape their University journey. You’ll support our team of Student Reps to make change, influence policy and represent their peers at Brookes. You’ll work with our Elected Officers and the wider team on student-led campaigns.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Recruiting Student Representatives and maintaining a database of Student Reps
- Designing, facilitating and delivering a training programme for student reps
- Regularly communicating with the Union’s Student Representatives, ensuring that they have regular opportunities to feedback and input
- Supporting the Student Representatives in building relationships with their peers and academic staff at Brookes
- Facilitating the Union’s reward and recognition scheme for Student Representatives
- Building a sense of community among academic reps by organising events, where they can meet and share experiences and good practice
- Supporting the development of academic communities, including working in partnership with the Communities Team to do so.
- Promoting the Union’s positive impact in representing students’ academic interests by developing engaging communications on the issues raised by reps and the changes made as a result
