We’re currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer with the ability to work across both Mechanical & Electrical maintenance disciplines to join the Engineering team. In this role, you will determine and execute routine preventative maintenance activities and procedures and assess and implement major fault repairs, playing a key part in advancing our mission and making a real difference.

Your responsibilities in this role would be:

  • Accountable for completion of assigned routine preventative maintenance activities
  • Identification and mitigation of equipment faults
  • Responding to breakdowns of equipment, assessment, diagnosis, repair of faults or escalation
  • Co-ordinating of OXB's external engineering resource in relationship to specialist repairs and maintenance of assets
  • Completing regulatory routine monitoring
  • Evaluating asset performance against determined criteria
  • Completing quality documentation for critical failures
  • Escalating events impacting engineering assets
  • Identification and management of critical engineering stock inventory
  • Maintain a safety-first approach to assets and engineering procedures

We are looking for:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
  • An apprenticeship to NVQ 3 Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in mechanical and/or electrical engineering
  • Experience within a GxP Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry is preferred or alternatively a similar regulated environment
  • Good working knowledge of Health and Safety within an engineering environment is needed
