Aircraft Cleaner vacancy at Belfast International Airport

  • Night shift 00:00 - 06:00 or 22:00 - 06:00
  • 4 nights on 4 nights off
  • £12.94 per hour
  • Full UK Manual Drivers licence is desirable

Joiner's Fee: A joiner's fee of £250 will be paid 6 months after the new joiner has been employed and passed probation. The joiner's fees are otherwise subject to the normal Company terms.

Role Summary

An Aircraft Cleaner must be proactive and adaptable and strive to ensure the highest levels of cleaning standards are consistently met. You should be able to work with a team carrying out a variety of cleaning tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • To contribute to a culture of engagement, involvement and continuous improvement within the cleaning team.
  • To work within a team carrying out night stop cleans or within the deep clean team.
  • Removing rubbish from the aircraft and making sure that it is properly disposed of.
  • General cleaning of offices and staff area.
  • Restocking of cleaning vehicles and equipment.
  • Cleaning interior areas of aircraft cabin including removal of blankets, vacuuming carpets, wiping down equipment and surfaces.
  • Replenish seat pockets with airline material as per customer specification.
  • Clean lavatories, wash basins, surfaces, mirrors and replenish lavatory supplies.
  • Clean and sanitise galleys, mopping floors.
  • Arrange seat belts, placement of headrests, pillows and blankets.
  • Clean exterior of the aircraft as required.
  • Always maintain a safe working environment, especially when using equipment and PPE.
  • Other ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualities Required

  • Ability to work under pressure to schedules and adapt quickly to suit client needs.
  • Ability to work shifts, bank holidays and weekends.
  • A full manual driving licence recognised by the UK is desirable.
  • Good attention to detail to take pride in cleaning standards.
  • Previous aircraft cleaning experience would be highly beneficial.
  • Valid Passport/ID and right to work in the UK.
  • Proof of Address and National Insurance Number.
  • 5 years' check‑able work history.
  • Receipt of a satisfactory standard disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
  • Must be willing to undergo relevant training as required.
  • Zero tolerance approach to health & safety non‑compliance.

  • Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided by the company in the interests of health, safety or welfare reasons.
  • Report any work situation, equipment or activity that represent a danger to health and safety.
  • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences.
  • Carry out work in accordance with company information, procedures and training provided.
