Location: Home-based with travel across the Northern UK shop network. Must be willing and able to travel to West Scotland & Dundee, East Scotland, Manchester, Greater Manchester & North Cheshire, NE Lakes & Borders, West Yorkshire, N & E Yorkshire, Lancashire, Merseyside & North Wales. Candidates should live within commuting distance, ideally in Manchester, Cheshire or Yorkshire.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the HR Business Partner to provide comprehensive and robust first-line HR advice to line managers and staff.
- Support the vision to build and nurture a diverse, inclusive workforce that can deliver Oxfam's goals to fight poverty and inequality around the world.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience of providing first-line HR advice to line managers and staff on a range of employment related issues.
- Experience of problem solving with stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- In-depth knowledge of organisational ER policies including conduct, capability, grievance and sickness, with ability to interpret and convey these to stakeholders.
- Experience of working with HR data and using it to proactively spot trends.
- Alignment with Oxfam’s mission, feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion.
