The Role
Oxfam GB is looking for an experienced and dynamic Learning & Development professional to lead a broad portfolio of learning across our organisational teams. This is a varied and impactful role, combining strategic design with hands‑on delivery. You will shape and deliver learning and talent projects that support operational excellence, leadership capability and long‑term career development across a geographically dispersed & hybrid workforce. You’ll partner with stakeholders across Retail, People & Culture and other business areas, building strong relationships to understand priorities and translate these into practical, engaging learning solutions.
Working as part of an exciting new team, you’ll influence and drive a learning, talent and engagement strategy that builds capability across a diverse range of teams, supporting colleagues to thrive in fast‑paced, purpose‑led environments. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our people have the skills, behaviours and frameworks needed to deliver strong operational outcomes and a positive employee experience. If you’ve got experience of developing managers in busy operational settings, you’re going to enjoy this role—and we’d love to hear from you.
Whilst this is a home‑based UK role, you will have exciting in‑person opportunities across the UK and at our Head Office in Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a values‑led organisation, redefining its culture together. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across our People & Culture division, Retail and wider business areas, bringing a strong background in consulting, learning design, project management and delivery, tailored to a diverse, multi‑site & hybrid workforce.
What We Are Looking For

- Strong capability in both technical and behavioural learning design, including leadership, management and team development—particularly within operational environments.
- Experience applying learning methodologies, frameworks and evaluation approaches to ensure quality, consistency and measurable impact.
- Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence across functions and levels.
- Data‑driven thinking, using insight to shape solutions and demonstrate impact and return on investment.
- Confident communication and facilitation skills, both in person and remotely, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Strong coaching skills, supporting managers and colleagues across a geographically dispersed workforce, with experience in developing and coaching managers.
- Experience managing complex projects and competing priorities with agility, resilience and a solutions‑focused approach.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of learning trends and practice, with a growth mindset and openness to innovation and change.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of how learning supports organisational performance.
- Be willing to travel regularly for business purposes. It is desirable that the post holder has a valid UK driving licence (company car and/or expenses provided for travel).
