Oxfam GB is looking for a Data Protection Manager (Maternity Cover) to manage the data protection team and oversee organisational processes to protect Data Subjects and comply with GDPR. The role involves managing personal data for fundraising and programme participants, ensuring respectful handling in line with legal requirements. The post holder is responsible for ensuring adherence to safeguarding policies, completing relevant training, and working within the code of conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the data protection team across the organisation.
  • Oversee critical processes to ensure GDPR compliance and protection of Data Subjects.
  • Maintain compliance with data protection law, including ICO expectations, and develop activities to support privacy throughout the organisation.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Information Security & Data Protection and the Data Protection Officer to set direction for the Privacy team.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience and knowledge of data protection law and ICO expectations.
  • Commitment to working with the Head of Information Security & Data Protection and the Data Protection Officer.
  • Strong communication skills.
