The Role

We’re looking for a Creative Copywriter to join our Brand and Creative team on a part-time basis and help bring bold, purposeful ideas to life across campaigns that fight inequality and injustice. You’ll craft compelling copy that moves people to donate, volunteer, campaign, and shop with us—writing across a wide range of digital and print channels with clarity, heart, and imagination. Working closely with designers and creatives from across the organisation, you’ll help shape powerful, audience-focused campaigns and content that stand out and get results. Ethical storytelling will be at the heart of everything you do—ensuring the people and communities we work with are represented truthfully and respectfully. From shaping the big idea to delivering the final draft, you’ll manage projects with care and attention to detail, building strong relationships along the way.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam\’s mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to our feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

  • Demonstrate the ability to apply outstanding creative thinking in response to complex issues.
  • Excellent and proven writing skills, which can be applied to a wide range of print and digital materials – for example social media storytelling and digital mobilisation, fundraising and experiential marketing.
  • Lived experience(s) of the issues Oxfam works on or evidence of taking action on anti-racism and inequalities.
  • Experience producing bold and disruptive creative concepts that challenge social injustice and drive change.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work in partnership with people from other disciplines.
  • Excellent project management skills – able to see creative projects through to completion from brief to production.
  • The ability to recognise your own biases and in turn how they may be impacting your decisions and influencing your work.
