About the role

Please note: This role is only suitable for applicants aged 18 and over. As a till volunteer, you will be the friendly face of our shop, handling customer transactions with a smile. You will provide top customer service and help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back.

What you will be doing:

  • Chat with customers and operate the till.
  • Select, sort, and price donated stock.
  • Create eye‑catching window and in‑store displays (visual merchandising).
  • Accept donations, speak to donors, and ask a few questions.
  • Label donations correctly to maximise income.
  • Occasionally lift boxes, with safe work practices and all required training.
  • Undertake other shop‑related tasks as agreed with the manager.

  • Reliable and on time for your volunteering.
  • Willing to learn; no prior experience required.
  • Team player who collaborates effectively with others.
  • Good communication skills; comfortable speaking with people and following instructions.
