We’re seeking friendly, reliable individuals aged 18 or over who want to make a difference in their community. No prior experience is needed, as we provide full training. If you are open to learning, enjoy working with others and have a passion for helping people, you’ll fit right in. You can use the time in volunteering to gain work experience, meet new people or stay active. By volunteering you will be raising essential funds for Oxfam – whilst learning new skills and meeting incredible people.
What you will be doing
- Undertaking shop‑related tasks agreed with the manager, for example: Chatting with customers and giving great service on the till.
- Selecting, sorting and pricing donated stock.
- Visual merchandising: creating eye‑catching window and in‑store displays.
- Accepting donations from members of the public, speaking to donors and asking a few questions.
- Labeling donations to maximise income following clear instructions.
- Occasional lifting of boxes; we prioritise a safe working environment and provide health and safety training.
