We’re seeking friendly, reliable individuals aged 18 or over who want to make a difference in their community. No prior experience is needed, as we provide full training. If you are open to learning, enjoy working with others and have a passion for helping people, you’ll fit right in. By volunteering you will be raising essential funds for Oxfam – whilst learning new skills and meeting incredible people.
What you will be doing:
- Undertaking shop‑related tasks agreed with the manager, for example:
- Chatting with customers and giving great service on the till.
- Selecting, sorting and pricing donated stock.
- Visual merchandising: creating eye‑catching window and in‑store displays.
- Accepting donations from members of the public, speaking to donors and asking a few questions.
- Labeling donations to maximise income following clear instructions.
- Occasional lifting of boxes; we prioritise a safe working environment and provide health and safety training.
The skills you need:
- Reliability and punctuality.
- No prior experience needed – full training and support provided.
- A willingness to be part of a team and collaborate effectively.
- A willingness to speak with others and follow instructions.
