As a Shift Lead Volunteer you’ll enable the shop to open for trading and close up, supervise and lead other volunteers in tasks that keep the shop running smoothly, and support the management team in task management.

What you will be doing:

  • Open or close the shop
  • Ensure the shop is ready to trade or cash up at the end of trade
  • Allocate tasks to members of the volunteer team
  • Select, sort, and price donated stock
  • Chat with customers, providing excellent till service
  • Research valuable and vintage stock
  • Create eye‑catching window and in‑store displays (visual merchandising)
  • Photograph and list items for the online shop
  • Occasionally lift boxes – we provide health and safety training
