Job Description

The Role: 

We are looking for a strategic and dynamic financial leader to join our senior management team as Head of Financial Planning and Analysis.

In this pivotal role, you will lead and oversee OGB’s financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and quarterly planning. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Deputy CFO, you will shape OGB’s financial strategy, ensuring OGB's financial plans provide strategic insights and help drive the organisation’s strategic goals.

As a key driver of financial performance evaluation, you will set and monitor strategic financial metrics, ensuring timely, accurate insights reach the right stakeholders. You will also collaborate with Operations Effectiveness and Risk Management teams to strengthen financial oversight and decision-making processes.

This is a high-impact role, requiring strong analytical expertise, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills. The role holder will also deputise for the Deputy CFO when needed.

What we are looking for:

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent).
  • Extensive experience in FP&A and finance business partnering.
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with financial planning systems.
  • Proven senior stakeholder management skills, including effective influencing and communication of financial information to non-finance colleagues.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Flexibility and ability to generate and manage change.
  • Strong systems thinking and a continuous improvement mind-set.
  • Knowledge of UK charity financial reporting standards: FRS102, SORP
