The Role:

As a Senior Systems Administrator at Oxfam, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organisations core infrastructure services are secure, reliable, and resilient. You will take the technical lead in supporting and enhancing Oxfams cloud platforms, with a particular focus on Microsoft Azure, and act as a trusted expert throughout the full product and service lifecycle. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure that meets the evolving needs of the organisation, ensuring that systems are optimised for performance, scalability, and long-term sustainability. A key part of your responsibilities will be safeguarding Oxfams digital environment by ensuring all services meet compliance and security standards, proactively managing vulnerabilities, and implementing best-practice security controls. You will also be responsible for maintaining high service reliability across the organisations infrastructure. This includes overseeing robust backup strategies, disaster recovery processes, and failover solutions, ensuring that Oxfam can continue to deliver critical work even in the face of disruption. This is a role for someone who thrives in a modern cloud-first environment, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and is passionate about enabling Oxfams mission through resilient and secure technology.
