About the role:

As our new SBDM, you’ll partner closely with senior leadership and consulting teams across our European offices to drive business development excellence. You’ll be the go-to strategic advisor, bringing structure, innovation, and commercial impact to everything from key client engagement to firmwide growth initiatives.

This is a high-impact role with both strategic and hands‑on responsibilities—ideal for a commercially minded BD professional ready to shape real change.

Driving Client-Centric Growth

  • Embed best-in‑class BD practices, tools (including AI and CRM), and behaviours across consulting teams.
  • Design and deliver strategic BD plans aligned with firmwide growth goals.
  • Use data to track effectiveness, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.

Enabling Business Development Execution

  • Coach and support consulting teams to enhance BD capabilities and confidence.
  • Lead strategic client listening programmes and turn insights into commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborate on campaigns, thought leadership, and events that elevate the Oxera brand.

Leading and Developing Teams

  • Help shape the BD function's structure and resource model for the future.
  • Mentor junior BD team members and foster a collaborative, high‑performing culture.
  • Ensure seamless integration of BD activities across our European offices.

What You Bring:

  • Extensive experience in business development within professional services, ideally consulting.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive client‑centric change.
  • Strong analytical and digital fluency—comfortable with data, CRM systems, and emerging tools.
  • A collaborative, strategic mindset with hands‑on delivery experience.Experience managing or mentoring teams in an international, matrixed environment
  • Confident communication skills and a natural relationship builder.
