Job Description The Company: A well established, highly profitable, owner managed business based in Beaconsfield. With a reputation earned by producing, a high-end, prestigious product range built over 30 years in business. The Role: Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will support the business by consolidating and analysing financial data, preparing reports, and providing strategic information and advice to the board and joint venture partners. This process-driven role includes preparing monthly management accounts, statutory accounts, budgets, profit and cashflow forecasts, cost analysis reports, and providing recommendations for cost efficiencies. Duties include: Management Accounts & Reporting Prepare monthly management accounts from trial balances within 10 working days of month-end. Review WIP and loan accounts Accrual, and prepayment adjustments Reconciliations for all GL accounts and investigating any differences. Costs of sales adjustments Detailed variance analysis for gross margin and overheads Prepare reports for management and joint venture partners (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow statements). Statutory Accounts & Tax Prepare statutory accounts for all group operating companies. Prepare corporation tax computations and liaise with auditors and external tax accountants. Cashflow & Business Planning ~ Prepare detailed short-term (6-month) cashflows weekly and reconcile cash to date. Budgets ~ Prepare annual group overhead budgets and analyse variances as part of Management Accounts preparation. About You: We are looking for an experienced Accountant who will thrive in a small Finance Team by taking ownership and accountabililty of the Management Accounts function. We are completely open minded on Qualification and industry background. Ideal expereicene in: Significant Accountancy or Auditing role and experience in a Management Accounts preparation. Well organised and flexible, being able to adapt to and willing to take on additional or alternative tasks as required. Experience of overseeing a company’s financial control and reporting activities. A recognised professional qualification from a professional institution, such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA is preferred. Strong analytical skills along with knowledge of general ledger, budgeting, forecasting, accounting standards and compliance regulations are essential. Acting as the link between finance and other disciplines within the Group, you will also need to possess good interpersonal skills and have a good understanding of business and financial issues.
