The Role:
We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Business Development Executive to help grow an online E-Commerce platform. This role focuses on converting marketing-generated leads, winning new business, increasing repeat bookings, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Working closely with the Commercial Director, you will identify and develop new opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and maximise revenue growth within the SME market.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert marketing-qualified leads into paying customers.
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting and relationship building.
- Drive repeat bookings through effective account management and aftercare strategies.
- Deliver online demonstrations and support customers through the booking process.
- Negotiate and close sales while maximising revenue and margin.
- Manage and track all sales activity.
- Follow up on inbound enquiries and marketing campaigns.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for prospective and existing customers.
- Collaborate with Sales, Client Services, and Commercial teams to identify growth opportunities.
- Lead client meetings, conference calls, and provide timely responses to customer queries.
- Contribute to sales forecasting and budget planning.

- Proven track record in sales or business development.
- Confident building relationships and engaging customers.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and target-driven.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience selling to SMEs would be advantageous.
